This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit ecommboardroom.com (the “Site”).
Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
Data retention
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
Minors
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
Incident Response Plan
All employees of Boardroom are trained on an Incident Response Plan. In the event of a security incident, all employees are instructed to notify management immediately. Management will then take swift action to mitigate the issue, notify the impacted users, and remedy any security configuration as needed in order to prevent future incidents.
The Boardroom App – Shopify Data
We ask you for access to the data from your Shopify Store in order to use the Boardroom App. We create unique custom analytics that can help users evaluate and manage their business more effectively. This includes access to the data of your Customers (Name, Email, Location). This enables us to create a Customer List, Segments, and a Heat Map that you can use to evaluate your Shopify Business. We take certain precautions to keep your data safe. We delete your data if you close your account with us and encrypt certain data at rest and in transit. Boardroom does not sell the data from your Shopify Store.
The Boardroom App – Amazon Ads Data
If you grant Boardroom access to your Amazon Advertising data, we will create unique custom analytics that can be used to analyze and improve the efficiency of your advertising. In order to do this, we will store your data in a database hosted by AWS. Your data will be deleted from our servers if you cancel your account.
Google API Limited Use Disclosure and Third Party Data Sharing
Boardroom’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In order to provide AI-Powered data analyses, Boardroom shares certain metrics from a user’s Shopify store with OpenAI. This includes Revenue and Order data. Since this is core app functionality, users must provide consent by agreeing to this Privacy Policy when they sign up to use Boardroom.
