Driving Growth through an IPO: An Introduction to SGX and Singapore’s Capital Markets

Asia is at the forefront of global economic growth, contributing approximately two-thirds to worldwide expansion. In an article published in early 2024, Mr. Loh Boon Chye, CEO of SGX Group and Chairman of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), said investors globally are shifting their focus towards Asia for new opportunities.

In this webinar, our panel of speakers discussed ways to secure funding to elevate businesses to new heights, and how they can access Singapore’s vibrant capital markets to propel their company forward.

  • An overview of the Singapore Exchange (SGX)
  • Navigating the listing journey on SGX
  • Understanding the listing process
  • SGX listing framework and legal considerations
  • Corporate governance framework and compliance

The webinar was moderated by Ms. Ngiam May Ling, an Associate Director at our Singapore Corporate Secretarial Services team, and featured a representative from SGX and industry experts from SAC Capital, a leader in corporate finance advisory, and Pinsent Masons MPillay, a leading multinational law firm. Ms. Ngiam was also a speaker at the webinar.
