Welcome!

Welcome to this e-commerce business case study! Today, we had the pleasure of interviewing Alex of Eightvape. I can tell you honestly that our conversation was quite interesting! We hope you enjoy it, and find this inspiring as you seek to start or grow your own online brand.

Interview with Eightvape

Thank you for joining us for this e-commerce business success story! We’d like to start by getting an understanding of your backstory. How did you come to own your business?

Eightvape was started in 2015 in Las Vegas, NV. We have moved a few times, with each time into a bigger location. We are currently in a 75,000 square foot warehouse. This helps us keep costs low by buying more products which brings the cost of the product low. It also helps us control fulfillment and shipping times.

Terrific! Now, this article is about profiling successful e-commerce businesses. So – can you share your top 3 keys to running a successful online brand?

  1. Know your data, analytics and customers
  2. Have a focused vision
  3. Test, test and test

Excellent. Now, I’m sure it hasn’t always been that easy. Can you tell a story about one challenge, setback, or mistake that you’ve had to overcome on the road to success? How can others learn from your mistakes?

Our biggest setback was when the PACT ACT was signed and that halted the entire vaping industry overnight. PACT ACT made it so USPS cannot ship vapes and vape products in the USA to consumers and the big 3 followed suit. Luckily we were ready and had a few carriers ready to take over so we hit the ground running (sorta). Since then, we have on boarded over 30 carriers.

Thanks for that. Now – we want to know what’s next! What new initiatives are you rolling out at your business and what results are you hoping to see?

We have started doing more targeted email marketing and it works so well. Although we do email blasts still, finding the specific segment of your audience that will be interested in something specific is important. No more shotgun approach to marketing.

Sounds exciting! Any final words of advice for our readers?

If you’re not where you want to be with your business, keep your head and stay grinding on your craft.

Brilliant! We want to thank you for participating in today’s interview. Hopefully our readers agree that there is a lot to be learned from your brand’s story. What links can our readers use to follow along with your journey?
