Welcome!

Welcome to this e-commerce business success story! In this profile, we interviewed Kelley, from Baby Jack &Co. Our hope is that you find this interview to be enlightening and inspiring as you seek to start and grow your very own online brand!

Thank you for joining us for this e-commerce business success story! We’d like to start by getting an understanding of your backstory. How did you come to own your business?

When I became a new mom, I noticed my son was gravitating towards ribbon tags on toys and blankets. The ribbons that provided sensory play were looped and my son got his finger stuck in a taggies toy blanket. We decided to make a safer alternative in the baby industry and sew all the ribbons shut into tabs to still provide sensory stimulation. As my kids grew, so did our brand! They help me design our fabrics making them fun and educational – that is how The Learning Lovey by Baby Jack brand originated. It’s a comfort toy that can grow with a child, teach and help meet milestones and develop the five senses.

Terrific! Now, this article is about profiling successful e-commerce businesses. So – can you share your top 3 keys to running a successful online brand?

Being a successful online brand means finding your true audience, inspiring them and providing an experience to them to grow with you. Our audience are parents who want products safe, fun and beneficial for their kids, but love supporting small businesses. We work with them to help us with product development, reaching out to different zoos, aquariums, museums, children’s hospitals and more.

Excellent. Now, I’m sure it hasn’t always been that easy. Can you tell a story about one challenge, setback, or mistake that you’ve had to overcome on the road to success? How can others learn from your mistakes?

Running a business will make you face your fears, teach you how to fail and when you are successful, you will laugh at all the things that once stood in your way. I have learned that not everyone will understand your brand and spending time trying to convince them takes away from the energy you can use to engage with those that get it.

Thanks for that. Now – we want to know what’s next! What new initiatives are you rolling out at your business and what results are you hoping to see?

Baby Jack has realized that customers spend just as much money on toys for their pets as they do for their own children. After playing with my own dog (havanese / pomeranian ewok dog, Luna) we decided to begin marketing in the pet industry. It has opened doors for more sales and retailers to purchase wholesale from us.

Sounds exciting! Any final words of advice for our readers?

Simple advice is to always pivot and beta test! We learned that business trends, product development, social media, and people are constantly changing. It is a gift to be able to easily adjust and it will reward your business greatly.

Brilliant! We want to thank you for participating in today’s interview. Hopefully our readers agree that there is a lot to be learned from your brand’s story. What links can our readers use to follow along with your journey?
